History of the Faculty
Faculty of Engineering and Technology was created by reforming the Faculty of Technological and Art Education of Birsk branch of BashSU on September 1, 2014, which in its turn was formed by merging the faculties of Technology and Entrepreneurship and Art and Graphic Arts, which were the peers of the century. They were opened in 2000-2001. The faculties graduated and issued higher education diplomas to more than 1000 students.
From 2011 to 2014 the Faculty of Technological and Art Education was headed by the first dean Professor Tagariev Rashit Zakievich Tagariev.
From September 1, 2014 the name of the Faculty of Technological and Art Education of Birsk branch of BashSU was renamed to the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. The dean of the faculty from 2014 to 2017 was Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor Albert Bainazarovich Latypov
From 2017 to 2020 the Dean of the Faculty was Ganeev Viner Valiakhmetovich Ganeev Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor.
Since 2020 the Dean of the Faculty is Aydar Salavatovich Usmanov, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor
Today the faculty has one department:
Technological Education
Head of the department is candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor M.G. Shakirova.
The faculty has a separate academic building, laboratories for technological disciplines, mechanical engineering and fire science, two computer laboratories.
The faculty is fully equipped with modern equipment and technology. Material and technical equipment of the Department of Technological Education includes teaching and laboratory fund, instrumental and information-technical base.
Provision of material and technical support of the department allows to achieve compliance of the content and quality of training of students and graduates with the requirements of the State Standard of Higher Education and Federal State Standard of Higher Education. The educational and laboratory fund of the department consists of lecture halls, computer class, laboratories on the basics of production, mechanical engineering, graphics, ecology, electroradio engineering, automotive engineering, tractors and agricultural machinery, workshops for drawing, sculpture and ceramics, training and production workshops for carpentry and locksmithing, welding shop.
In addition, there are training and production facilities - a garage with a car service, a furniture shop, a workshop for the production of technical ceramics, a driving range, designed for training practice and training of drivers of category “B”.
Internal regulations
After the beginning of classes, all classrooms and adjacent rooms shall be quiet and orderly as necessary for the conduct of classes. It is inadmissible to interrupt classes, enter and leave the classroom during teaching. In each group the dean appoints a head of students, who is the liaison between the dean's office and the students.
Gross violations of academic discipline are:
- failure to attend classes without a valid reason;
- missing the deadline for the defense of industrial and pre-diploma practice;
- smoking in all rooms of the educational institution, profanity;
- drinking alcoholic beverages, appearing in the educational institution in a state of alcoholic or drug intoxication;
- committing acts containing signs of an offense.
Education of foreign students
To date, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology has accumulated experience in teaching foreign students. The geography of international relations is expanding. At present at our faculty foreign students from such countries as Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan are trained on full-time and part-time departments.
Courses of training of drivers of vehicles of category “B”
At the faculty the training of drivers is carried out. The training takes place in equipped classrooms and on the driving range. There are two specialized cars, masters of practical driving training and teachers.
